| Description | A vacation spot in nature The “Haengju Fortress” was built during the Three Kingdoms Period of Korea. The fortress is popular as a historic place where General Gwon Yul defeated 300,000 Japanese invaders with only 3,000 Korea Soldiers in February 1593 in what is now called the “Great Haengju Victory.” At the time, there were only 2,300 Korean soldiers while there were 30,000 Japanese soldiers. It was named Haengju Fortress as there is a story that says women carried stones with their haengju skirts during the battle. Currently, the castle does not exist; you can only find the entrance. |

| Description | Haeyiri Village, a 'Culture' that is made with city, buildings, nature, and life. Haeyiri is a cultural art village where different cultural genres communicate with each other in one place. Established in 1997, Haeyiri is spread out over 150,000 pyeong where 370 authors, artists, movie directors, architects, musicians and other artists remain as members and created homes, workshops, art museums, museums, and galleries. The village is still under construction, but 100 buildings have already been built and in service. The cultural space will be completed with about 300 buildings in the first half of 2008. |
